Hospital Director's Message
I assumed the position of hospital director in April 2024. I will fulfill my duties as director with a commitment to providing an environment where patients can receive treatment with peace of mind.
Our hospital was established in 1862. Having weathered many historical storms, we have strived not only to provide medical care but also to advance medical science and nurture healthcare professionals. Today, as accelerating population aging and declining birthrates become defining features of Japan's present and future society, the environment surrounding university hospitals is extremely challenging for clinical practice, research, and education alike. However, lamenting or worrying is not our job. Our job is to contribute to society by delivering the safest, highest-quality medical care to our patients, regardless of the environment. Furthermore, while keeping a close eye on rapidly advancing science and technology, we must continually consider what the problems are, why they cannot be solved, and what is needed to solve them. Based on medical ethics appropriate for the times, we must develop new medical treatments and nurture the healthcare professionals who will shoulder the future of medicine.
We will strive wholeheartedly to ensure Kanazawa University Hospital remains trusted by all who visit us and by the local community, and cherished by everyone connected to our institution.
We sincerely appreciate your continued support.
